I just realized I never blogged our trip to Disney this year. The kids were so good on the plane. Check out this cool cat! And he basically stayed this happy the whole 2.5 hours.
We stayed at the Yacht Club again and were upgraded (again) to a lagoon view room! These rooms are the best - you can look out and see the boardwalk all lit up at night and you have an awesome view of the fireworks. And we heard from staff they are re-doing all the rooms to make them even nicer.
We absolutely love this hotel for their sand bottom pool. It just gives the kids a chance to play and not only swim without leaving the area. Lazy river and water slides - it really is the best!
We went last year when our youngest was 2 and there were some epic meltdowns. He hated riding the bus which is how you get around to the parks. Most of those bus rides would end up with me holding him on my lap while he tried to headbutt me with the back of his head - yeah fun! Well, holy crap what a difference a year makes. He loved the bus this year and would just sit there in his own seat and look out the windows. With the kids being 8, 5 and 3 - they were able to go on almost all the rides together, even the roller coasters. It was so much easier this trip! My fave ride with everybody was the 7 dwarfs mine train coaster! We rode the teacups of course, went on a safari, rode Soaring. Which by the way is breathtaking. It takes you all around the world now instead of just inside the US. Eiffel tower, Niagara Falls, a safari in Africa, etc. I sat there and thought God made all of this....Amazing!
Food: Hands down best dinner was at Ohana! Not to mention the place is beautiful. This is us in front of the hotel - the grounds are gorgeous.
We did another night at Cape May for the crab legs. I had some pretty spectacular macaroni and cheese at Animal Kingdom and of course Dole Whip in Epcot.
Our dinner in France sucked (total mom fail) and the kids and the hubs were not happy. I wasn't happy either but the planner always gets blamed. We found an awesome ice cream shop at our hotel called Beaches n Cream.
And of course T-rex cafe - every single time.
We saw fireworks on the beach with the kids in their jammies. We also saw them from the hot tub the one night too.
We saw a bunch of characters this year too!
All in All it was so much fun. Next year we are doing a week long Disney Cruise and then I have a feeling we will be back to the parks :)
Till we meet again Disney...

Summer Slow Down
Why is it always the things that are the best go by the fastest? Summer, lunch breaks at work, a hot date with the hubs...to name a few. Anyway, I can't believe it's almost the middle of July! We have been packing in the baseball over here and having some fun too! Brady made the All Star team again and has started pitching too. It makes me nervous for him but I am trying to handle it. Lawn Fetes (its a Buffalo thing) are fun and we went to one of our faves this weekend. Our youngest calls them Funfairs like on peppa pig - he loves that show.
I am supposed to start shopping for the 3 school lists I have this year but seriously Why have I only just discovered Bauble Bar? Obsessed with the earrings! Tiered tassle earrings - yes please! And deciding on the color was the hardest part.

What's for Dinner?
The questions we all dread right? I finally ordered Blue Apron. I might be the last person on earth to try it :) but hear me out on my reasons.
I hate deciding whats for dinner! We usually end up with sandwiches out of poor planning on my part- tuna melts, BLT's, etc because I get overwhelmed trying to decide. Besides, how do I know what I want to eat on Wednesday when I am shopping on Sunday?
I am very good at going on Pinterest and finding a recipe for a velveeta or 2 bricks of cream cheese kind of casserole. I mean who doesn't love cheese right? Except, that casserole feeds 6 people which means a ton of leftovers that the husband and myself aren't good at eating up. We both buy lunch on our work days. And the husband doesn't love the ooey gooey cheesy casserole as much as me anyway. He likes his meat and potatoes.
And let's talk about how hard it is to cook for 2 people? SO much waste.
Anyway those are my reasons and my first box arrived yesterday!! It is adorable how everything arrives in 1 box and the ingredients are super fresh. If the recipe calls for 1 tbsp. of sugar - it's in the box! Not to mention those tiny little bottles of stuff are adorable. You only need to have olive oil and salt and pepper on hand.
And I love it so far! And I get to use all those kitchen gadgets from the 2000's I got as wedding gifts or I purchased from 1 too many Pampered Chef parties. My fave is the garlic press! These little boxes of food and cooking them make me feel like an adult :) We are eating better and I love to put on my Kate Spade apron and go to town!
