Here's the place and the Dr that made me see!!!!!
It has been almost 4 months since I had it. I had all blade-less LASIK and my prescription was -5.75 so I was blind without lenses. I was straight up, a complete wreck the day of. I was soooo nervous. Like bring on the meds or I ain't going through with it - nervous. I was scared it would hurt and if I said it hurt, no one would care or stop. I think that's a pretty rational fear. I took 1 valium and was still shaking scared in the waiting room! I was pushing other people to go first Hahaha. So Doctor suggested another valium. After 2 kicked in I felt like I should hurry up and get it done before I fell asleep because I could feel it working. Well as soon as I got in the chair all the nerves came back. I ended up squeezing two of those stress balls and my butt never touched the chair. But I got through it!!!! My sister said on the scale of worst patients 1-10, I was a 9.5! They say nurses make bad patients - they may be right.
No joke - I would have taken it all!
My eyes are still dry, especially at night or if I wake up in the middle of the night. But it is amazing to give up glasses and contacts. My husband, who has perfect vision and just doesn't get it, was probably sick of hearing me talk about my eyes. But there are still little things that surprise you from time to time. Like when we were packing for Disney and I realized I didn't have to pack glasses or contacts - now that was exciting. I wore glasses or contacts since I was in 4th grade. I have fallen asleep watching tv a few times and always know what time it is when I get up in the middle of the night. Which some times leads to me figuring out just how much more sleep I can get if I fall asleep that minute. But seriously, life changing!!!!!!
